  January 23rd, 2025 Happy Friday everyone, we hope that everyone enjoys their 3-day weekend. We have some new families who have joined our school or are about to join our school and our enrollment is currently at capacity in EVERY classroom except for our Middle School. This means we are only 5 students from our school being completely full. This is AMAZING! For prospective families that do not currently live in our school boundaries, we are currently accepting Attendance Exception forms FOR NEXT YEAR, and have already begun a waitlist.   January 17th, 2025 Happy Three Day Weekend Everyone!  Announcements: PBIS Theme: Empathy  We had donuts and dodgeball this week to celebrate our students who have 90% or better attendance! Next month we will be celebrating students with great attendance AND students who have been a self-manager or student leader for 3 out of 4 weeks of the month.  Event in the Community: Starting Feb 1st we will start our next attendance challenge, the class that has the best attendance for the month is going to win a NEW Dorena Proud Hat and NEW Dorena Vinyl sticker. Our school community is participating in the 2025 Electronic Recycling Competition! We will be going up against 45 Lane County Schools to recycle the most "e-waste" the winner gets $500 to their school and a NextStep Reuse store gift card! Weekly Newsletter 1/10/25

  January 10th, 2025 Happy New Year everyone! We started this year off with a BANG! Students returned to school from break with positive attitudes, motivation, and ready to learn. AND we got right to it, dove right into core instruction, started our MAP growth testing, and met in community to check in on everyone's feelings. We are so excited to be back and to see how far we can take our students in their learning and skills.  Announcements: PBIS Theme: Empathy  We need your help with safety during dismissal in our pick-up line. We need cars who are picking up in the line to move through continuously, if you need to park and get out, we ask that you please use one of our parking spaces in the front. We have gotten quite congested as of late, and it has led to some safety concerns.  The weather is cold and with our new covered structure, we are spending more recess time outside, please let us know if you need a coat for your student.  Our school community is part...
