As we approach the last two weeks of school, we are excited to celebrate a year full of learning, growth, and unforgettable moments. These final days are packed with fun activities and special events to honor the hard work and dedication of our students and families.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support throughout this year. Thank you for encouraging your children to show up every day ready to learn, for teaching kindness, and for modeling perseverance through challenges.

Looking ahead, we are thrilled to share that next year, we anticipate full classrooms at every level! It’s incredible to see our Dorena community growing, and we couldn’t be prouder of the strong, vibrant school spirit that makes us “Dorena Proud.”

PBIS Theme: Goal Setting

Goals:

I can set a goal for myself and make a plac to achieve it.

We will end our attendance challenges by celebrating all of the families whose students have 90% or better attendance for the entire year to join us for a Lazer Tag party. Each family will be notified by Monday.
We will have Middle School campout for students who qualify afterschool on Thursday 6/5. Students will need signed permission to attend.
We will have our annual GRAD WALK on Friday 6/6 11am, we invite all former Dorena students who are a graduating senior this year to wear their cap and gown and walk through the halls so we can show you how proud we are of your big accomplishment.
Spirit Week is 6/9-6/12, this week's themes are chosen by students!

Monday- Backwards/Inside out day
Tuesday- Crazy Hair day
Wednesday- Dress Fancy Day
Thursday- Class Color day (wear the color your class chooses)

6/11 We will have our 5th and 8th grade Promotion Ceremonies! 5th will be from 5:00-5:30 with refreshments afterwards, 8th grade promotion will be from 5:30-6pm with refreshments afterwards.
6/12 is the last day of school for the 2024-2025 school year! It will be an early release day!
6/12 is Field Day 8:30-12:20pm. Please send students with an extra change of clothes or swim clothes, a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle.

Need some compost for your garden? We are giving away 1/2 a yard of free compost to Dorena Families, sponsored by our Garden Club. It is located at the rear end of our bus round about, and free for the taking. You load and haul, thank you Dorena Garden club for this generous donation!

We have the highest attendance rate out of all of the elementary schools and second highest in the district! We currently have 75% of our students with 90% or higher attendance and on average 93% of all of our students attend school daily! This is a huge and proud accomplishment!
