Weekly Newsletter 12/12/25
December 12th, 2025
As we enter this final week before the Winter Break, we want to share our excitement and remind everyone that every school day is a learning day! Our teachers have engaging activities planned, and we encourage all students to be present and on time, right up until the start of the break, don't want to miss out on any of the fun!
We start our Holiday store this week, each student will have the opportunity to use their hard earned Panther Pride tickets to purchase one item for each of the family members who live in their household as a holiday gift.
Spirit week is next week! We invite all students to join staff in dressing up, the class with the highest participation will earn our Spirit Week trophy to proudly display in their classroom and bonus points towards our pizza party!
- Monday: Snowman or Grinch Day
- Tuesday: Hat or Beanie Day
- Wednesday: Flannel Day
- Thursday: Ugly or Not Sweater Day
- Friday: Pajama Day
- Our attendance challenge ends the morning of 12/19, since the beginning of November classes have been working really hard on attendance, each class can earn a point each day if only one student is absent and/or only one student is tardy. The winning class will earn making Gingerbread houses on 12/19!
- We will have our monthly pizza party classroom celebration on 12/19, classes can earn points by having the best attendance for the day, most good news referrals for the week, least office referrals, best behavior in the cafeteria, and by showing the most Panther Pride on Fridays.
Our lost & found is getting pretty full, please prompt kiddos to check it out in the gym before break so that they can take their things home.
To help keep learning alive over the break consider these low-pressure activities:
- Reading at least 20 minutes each day, visit the public library for a free fun activity!
- Online program such as Khan Academy (middle School), Prodigy, Epic students have accounts for and can log in from home devices.
- Get creative, challenge your kiddo to write a story, draw a picture, or help bake by reading the recipe!
- LAST CHANCE for Feedback! Every year, our district collects data from our families regarding our school. We have had the HIGHEST PERCENTAGE of family participation for the past 2 years, let's keep it up! It takes about 15 minutes and the data is EXTREMELY helpful to improving our school. The district reviews it, Mrs. Pixton reviews all of it, and our staff reviews it to make changes.
