Happy 3 Day weekend everyone! We hope everyone takes some time to rest and get well, lots of sick kiddos this week.
We are starting our Emerald baseball reading challenge! Every student has been given a bookmark with 10 spaces on it, teacher's have specified how each space should be filled, rather it is reading 10 pages, 20 minutes, etc. When the bookmark is filled up students will turn them in in exchange for 2 free Emerald baseball tickets!
Introducing our new Social Emotional Coach- Mr. Dunham! Mr. Dunham is supporting students with all of their emotional and social needs!
We have our second Donuts and Dodgeball event coming up! Student who have been demonstrating and/or working hard to improve their emotion regulation skills and social skills have earned the privilege of participating.
We have been seeing a lot of toys coming to school, we are asking the help of our guardians to help ensure that toys stay home. When toys come to school they can get broken, lost, or be highly distracting. Thanks for your help!
From our Nurse: Oregon's School Immunization Exclusion Day is February 25, 2026, the official deadline for students in schools, preschools, and childcare to have updated vaccination records or a valid exemption on file to continue attending; children without compliant records by this date will be excluded until they comply.
We have started our attendance challenge for January, and it has been a slow start. Each day that a class has only one student absent aAND/OR one student tardy the class will earn a point. On the morning of January 30th the class with the most points will win a Board Game Party!
Lincoln Middle School has invited our Middle school students to their Winter Formal Dance. Mrs. Pixton and Mrs. Molloy will be there helping chaperone AND can help transport kids if they need transportation. January 30th 6-8pm. Tickets in advance are $15, tickets at the door are $20. We have tickets in the Dorena office for purchase.
