Weekly Newsletter 1/23/26
January 16th, 2026
What a week! We know many of our families are currently juggling tissues and thermometers. Taking care of sick kiddos is exhausting work, so please make sure you’re taking care of yourselves, too.
We truly appreciate families keeping us updated on symptoms and diagnoses. Thank you also to those reaching out for homework. We love seeing the commitment to keeping the learning going, even from home!
Our priority is getting everyone back to 100%. We hope you get plenty of rest and fluids this weekend. We can’t wait to see our healthy, energized students back in the classroom next week!
We are starting our Emerald baseball reading challenge! Every student has been given a bookmark with 10 spaces on it, teacher's have specified how each space should be filled, rather it is reading 10 pages, 20 minutes, etc. When the bookmark is filled up students will turn them in in exchange for 2 free Emerald baseball tickets!
We have our second Donuts and Dodgeball event rescheduled for this upcoming Thursday. Students who have been demonstrating and/or working hard to improve their emotion regulation skills and social skills have earned the privilege of participating.
Lincoln Middle School has invited our Middle school students to their Winter Formal Dance. Mrs. Pixton and Mrs. Molloy will be there helping chaperone AND can help transport kids if they need transportation. January 30th 6-8pm. Tickets in advance are $15, tickets at the door are $20. We have tickets in the Dorena office for purchase.
- We appreciate library books being returned, some are being returned in VERY poor shape, we have very limited funds to purchase new books every year and really need the utmost care taken with borrowed books. We will be asking families to replace books that are damaged beyond repair and we will have students work to repair books they bring in that can be repaired.
