We want to thank all of our volunteers for coming to outdoor school, helping with our 4th grade fishing trip AND attending our family night! We are entering the final month of school, lots of fun happening so please ensure students are coming to school every day and on time. 

Announcements:
  • Last week of theater! Please note that rehearsals go until 5pm M, T, Th, and Friday students will stay at school until after the performance, dinner will be provided for students.
    • Students in theater need to be at the school Sat 5/23 at 1pm. 
  • No School Monday 5/25 for Memorial Day! 
  • We have a celebration our attendance is slowly starting to increase as a whole school we have gone from 67% of students regularly attending to 71% of our students regularly attending. Last year we ended the year so strong at 85% students attending regularly (90% or higher). 
  • Middle School campout points deadline is May 29th! 
  • We have started our last attendance challenge for the month of MAY! ALL students who have 90% or better attendance for the month of May will earn a movie party! Each classroom will be playing a different movie and have snacks. Students with 90% or better attendance will be eligible to see any movie they would like. 
  • Read-a-Thon! Our only school fundraiser has begun. Students are to log their reading minutes and we ask that they find sponsors to fund their reading achievements as a fundraiser for the school. All funds go to fun for our students with our attendance challenges, field day, field trips, and more. The class that reads the most minutes will earn the chance to participate in a school game. One student from each class that read the most minutes AND raised the most funds will also get to participate, even if their class did not win. 

  • Free Transit Pass for Summer: 

    Summer break is almost here! To help families save on transportation costs and offer youth a safe, reliable way to explore, LTD passes are good through the summer. K-12 Students Ride Free! More Information

Outdoor School was a blast for 5th graders! We are so grateful to the Grove Camp! 





4th graders annual fishing trip and the first fish caught in 6 years!

Weekly Newsletter 9/5/25

  September 5th, 2025 What a great start to the new school year! Our classrooms are buzzing with energy, full of excited students ready to learn and achieve amazing things. We're so glad to have everyone back. These first few weeks have been focused on setting a strong foundation for success. We're busy assessing students' skills, teaching and reviewing school expectations, and practicing our daily routines. This groundwork ensures we can all have a smooth and productive year. Thank you to all the families who were able to join us for our Open House. It was wonderful to see so many of you connect with teachers and other families.   October 3rd, 2025 It's October ! I want to take a moment to express how incredibly proud I am of the important work you do every single day as parents. We see our students working hard to show up every day ready to learn, and we know that dedication and hard work starts at home. Thank you for cultivating that environment for your children. I am grateful for all of our families and guardians, for the space we hold for one another, and for the deep conversations we can have as a community to better support our children and our families. Thank you for your commitment and trust. Announcements: Swimming starts this week for 2nd/3rd grade and 4th/5th grades! Students will swim for 2 weeks. The school will help track swim gear and towels while they are here at school and will dry the equipment each day.  We have our bi-annual WALK AND ROLL to school event on Wednesday, 8/8.
